Discovering Jordan: Cultural Excursions During the Fellowship for Young Women Entrepreneurs

The Fellowship for Young Women Entrepreneurs provided top-notch entrepreneurial training for highly successful young female business owners. At the same time, as an Open Hands Initiative program, cultural exchange and exposure comprised central elements of the Fellowship. During the Jordan program, the fellows and staff embarked on rich mini-excursions around the country: touring the Amman Citadel and Roman Amphitheater, getting lost in the downtown souq (market), indulging in honey-soaked pastry and warm cheese-filled kunafeh from the famous Habibah Sweets, trekking through the ancient Nabataean city of Petra, and finally, floating in the Dead Sea.
