I am deeply  humbled to be here in Cairo with such a distinguished group of  journalists, academics, activists and representatives of the governments  from the United States and Egypt.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019d like to welcome Lyse Doucet of the BBC and Ambassador Patterson; I am especially grateful for your presence here tonight.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019d like to thank GlobalPost for sharing our passion for creating  genuine dialogue between people of different cultures.
